As a fashion editor, my job is to go through thousands of runway looks to find the best and brightest pieces for the upcoming Season. When the Spring/Summer 2022 shows arrived, I was ready to dive into all the toothless trends that lined up for the hottest months of the year. Fortunately, high-end brands from Paris to Milan have understood the task.

Valentino has released summer jumpsuits, gladiator sandals and shoulder bags, all interrupted by an oversized Rockstud. Chanel, on the other hand, threw strips of piquant colors on its characteristic black and white shades. Bottega swapped kelly green for a sunny orange tone, and Gucci went to Old Hollywood with ironing-lined Satin Briefs worthy of a 50s advertising campaign.

In short, the best designer collections for summer 2022 are busy, sensual and full of rainbows of colors. Browse Editorialist’s high-end brands to see — and shop this Season.

1. Bottega Veneta

Creative Director Daniel Lee’s latest collection for Bottega Veneta, it’s no surprise that spring/summer 2022 has been an impressive season for the brand. High sport was a key theme, with pleated tennis skirts and icy whites spliced throughout. The best thing about it: the lemony tangerine tone that has found its way to bags, heels and jewelry.

2. Chloe

Chloé’s Spring / Summer 2022 collection is a continuation of Gabriela Heart’s sophisticated and sustainable design vision. The play with color was a key theme, with swaths in the shape of terracotta and salmon pebbles appearing on dresses and blouses. However, our favorites are their recycled cashmere iterations of the Edith and Woody bags.

3. Loewe

Jonathan Anderson’s footprint on Loewe increased in recent times. He took advantage of the difficult period to open a new path for the Spanish brand, his Spring / Summer 2022 pieces with surrealism and absurdity contagious for Fashion. The range of the high-end brand has something to offer daring and kitsch dressers and passionate minimalists.

4. Gucci

ICYMI: Gucci deserted the fashion calendar at the beginning of recent times and instead released complete and seasonless collections at its own pace. Gucci’s Love Parade collection was a homage to the enjoyment industry that takes place on the Walk of Fame and is full of famous faces. The clothes have the same old Hollywood romanticism, full of cone-shaped silk dresses, pearl jewelry, and everything new. Don’t miss the brand’s new navy sapphire canvas — Gucci has just rolled out the new and improved texture on dozens of pieces.

5. Prada

The new collection of the Italian brand, developed by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, is prepared for a hot summer. Silk shorts, crepe dresses and mini-shoppers in the brand’s characteristic sun yellow are to be taken away. The brand’s widely used tire skirts in picnic Plaids are also represented, as well as the famous Instagram crochet beach bags.

6. Chanel

Chanel’s presentation for spring/summer 2022 was a homage to the brand’s catwalks of the 90s – animated cameras flashed, models ran with unapologetic momentum, and candy-colored clothes took over. Swimsuits and busy belts were a favorite, but the house’s 22 new bags stole the show. We are going to combine the pink chewing gum Version with the CC embossed sandals from the house all summer long.

7. Miu Miu

This is Miu Miu’s world and we all live in it. Under the direction of Miuccia Prada, the brand’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection was filled with micro-mini skirts and preppy knitwear-of course, flanked by the usual selection of ornate shirt dresses. Lean into the shiny factor with a Quilted hobo bag and a Chunky pearl necklace.

8. Celine

Celine dominates The interface between college fashion and French chic—and the 2022 summer collection is no exception. Buy simple and refined favorites like the low tops with a stamp of Triumph and style them with the brand’s fragile strapless top. Don’t forget your tote bag.

9. Valentino

Last but not least, Valentino’s Spring / Summer 2022 collection was based on a new interpretation of its famous Rockstud motif. Instead of splashing her bags and shoes with rows and rows of fittings, each Accessory has a point bolt.
